Beachside is a pretty 18th Century cottage only a short walk from the harbour side in Staithes. A few steps from the cottage and you are gazing over at the harbour wall onto the beach below or peering out to sea. The cottage is set amongst other ancient cottages in this historic fishing village celebrated as the home of Captain Cook.

Staithes is an atmospheric and traditional fishing village in the beautiful North York Moors National Park while just a few miles down the coast is the ancient port of Whitby, picturesque Robin Hoods Bay and the bustling resort of Scarborough. Staithes is well served with cafes, pubs and coffee shops and Bistro. It offers a Captain Cook and Staithes Heritage Museum and a craft centre full of delightful works of local artists.
